Western Log Creations is in the new genre of “green” companies: using only dead trees or trees removed for construction or fire control. The primary raw materials targeted are the pine trees that have succumbed to the Pine Beetle epidemic affecting Colorado. Beetles, such as the Pine Bark and Ips Beetles, are killing our forests, creating prime timber for wild forest fires. By removing these trees a healthier forest is created and fuel for forest fires is reduced. The entire tree is recycled by having a wide variety of products, both large and small. Portions of the tree that can't be made into decorative products are chipped for mulch. The next step in the development of this green industry is to incorporate technology to burn wood chips resulting from the manufacturing processes. This is the future of the world and you can help us be a part of it.
